Crank, Glass, and Fallout tell the story of a straight-A student, Kristina, and the choices she makes that affect not only her but everyone around her. Introduced to crank (crystal meth) or as she calls it, “The Monster,” while visiting the dad she rarely sees and barely knows. Bree, her addicted persona, spirals downward to become an addict, drug dealer, and horrifically, a mom several times over.
The use of verse and realistic scenes/language reflects the fact that these novels are semi-autobiographical. The author has been there, and done most of that - heed her words!
